Nestled
in the mountain community of Willow Creek, California, along
the banks of the Wild & Scenic Trinity River are the Coho Cottages.
Situated between the Trinity Alps Wilderness Area and Redwoods National
Park, we are located in the middle of the largest Douglas Fir forest in
the world. Our family has been here nearly 100 years, we know local history,
lore and the land, and are happy to share our knowledge with you. Willow
Creek is still very much a "real" small community of the Pacific
Northwest. Fortunately we have not yet become a "touristy" town.
We have enough loggers, miners and hippies around to keep us independent
and freethinking. Lately we have been experiencing an agricultural renaissance
of organic farms and vineyards that help add to the local flavor.
Coho Cottages
are a perfect base camp for adventure outings or lazy days of
just kicking back. Let us introduce you to a region that is outrageously
beautiful, uncrowded, and has a vitality so real you can bite off a chunk
and chew on it. Yes, a place like this still exists.
